ECIPA, Eastern Cape Independent Practitioners Association, is a general practitioner organisation that was established in 1995.

VISION: To grow a strong Eastern Cape GP membership to positively influence and contribute to the delivery of quality primary healthcare.

MISSION: To support our GP members in rendering affordable excellence in primary healthcare to the communities we serve and to add value to our partners.

We invite all Eastern Cape private practice GP’s to join ECIPA Healthcare. A larger and stronger ECIPA Healthcare will be better able to serve GP’s and healthcare.

Benefits of being an Ecipa GP member: access to network agreements with medical schemes, invitation to the monthly ECIPA General Meetings with CPD accredited presentations, regular information updates and sharing, CPD notifications, collective negotiation, collective procurement and more.

GP Member distribution: ECIPA Healthcare’s 75 GP’s are based in the Townships, Northern Areas and Western Areas of Gqeberha/Port Elizabeth. We also have GP members in East London, Makanda and Port Alfred.

Meetings and Engagements: We hold monthly update meetings (together with accredited CPD presentations) via Zoom or Microsoft Teams that are attended by up to 50 of our GP members. Valuable medical and other information are shared at these meetings. Stand alone CPD webinars are also held from time to time. The highlight is the Annual ECIPA CPD Conference held over a weekend.

Collaboration/Partnership opportunities: Companies are invited to consider collaboration with regard to the above-mentioned meetings. In addition the monthly ECIPA Exco & Board meetings are open to collaboration, including the annual ECIPA Healthcare printed calendar.
